How it Works
We recognize that one of the most impactful ways we can support families in our community with children with special needs is through education and access to critical resources. In partnership with local government agencies and officials, we have created this program to provide these families with the support they need to address all of their child’s needs.
What We Provide
This program provides families access to medical and therapeutic care, and incontinence supplies, as a beginning point. We encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s therapy, so that they understand how the therapy works, and are able to provide ongoing therapy for their children at home, with guidance from our staff. We also provide educational workshops for parents to share ideas around how to best care for their beloved child.
Is it working?
This program is still in development, but after only a few months, and enrolling our first families, we are seeing some amazing results.
We see parents who are full of hope for their families and their child, and who feel supported instead of isolated.
We see smiles, where before there was worry, fear, and exhaustion.
Progress
There is so much change already. These very special children are making so much progress, sometimes in small but profound ways that only their closest caregivers and family see, and sometimes in leaps and bounds.
This program is already changing lives, and we know that the change in these individual lives will lead to bigger changes, on a larger scale.
The change will ripple out and will lead to even more love, hope, and opportunity for these children, their families, and ultimately, our community.
This program matters
The Family Sponsorship Program is entirely funded by sponsorships. Sponsors are a critical part of Uryadi’s Village, and we need sponsors for this program.
If you are ready to be part of a bigger change rippling out into our world, please send an email to sarah@uryadisvillage.org or jennifer@uryadisvillage.org.
